Hi prayer warriors and good thought angels, mom here.

I know that I promised you all an update on Ceci’s surgical procedure that she will be having on her spine, but this evening I am coming asking for prayers instead.

 

Ceci is not feeling well.

She stayed home from school today because she was having the chills and running a low grade fever, but it has gotten worse over the past few hours.

Our girl is running 102.7 with Ibuprofen in her system, is having horrible migraines, side pain, nausea, chills and having light sensitivity.

I know that it sounds awful as a mom, but I am praying that it is something viral and childhood normal. Otherwise the alternatives could be much worse.

I’m worried that she may have another UTI that has gotten out of control or her fracture in her leg may have shifted from the weight of the cast or worse it could be a shunt failure or infection 😦

We could use prayers and good thoughts that this gets better with some Tylenol on top of the Ibuprofen and a good long shower.

I’ll update you all on how she is a bit later.

Well we made it 2 full years without another fracture 😊

I know that sounds crazy, but in our world that is something to be extremely happy about.

This is the world of Osteoporosis in a child.

6 weeks ago ceci started complaining that her leg was sore and she didn’t know why. Usually with our sweet girl she can tell when she has a fracture from her knees up but this time was different.

We waited a few days and realized the soreness was not getting better and ceci actually started forming a bruise so I took her to ortho urgent care.

After a 2 hour visit, xrays and an evaluation they placed her in a full leg cast with the diagnosis of a Tibia defect.

After further review of her scans it was determined she needed a ct scan to verify the extent of the fracture.

A few days later it was determined ceci had a Tibia break all the way thru 😞

Fortunately it was set correctly and her leg has been healing.

11 more days and we’re praying that ceci will have this last cast off and will be all healed up.

The weather is starting to warm up and she’s ready to get this itchy thing off and have the ability to swim again 😁

We could use many prayers in the next coming weeks.
