Ceci's Courage Crew & Family Too

I have some exciting news that I have to share with you all. Definitely a huge accomplishment for our girl 💓

If your one of our long time prayer angels or good thought guardians, you guys can recall that Ceci has a history with Sensory Processing Disorder and when she was younger she was very scared of water.

Her fear of water was so bad that she would scream and cry through every shower and we had a very hard time getting her to get into a pool if anyone else was around, because she was terrified they would get her face wet.

Her biggest fear was having water on her face. It would cause her to have a panic attack.

We battled this for many, many years along with how sensitive she was to any loud noises. She had to wear ear plugs or noise cancelling headphones to go to many places.

Ceci worked with Occupational therapy for many years on many of the issues circled above.

Things have gotten much better for her sensory wise over the years with help 😁 and I am so proud and happy to share these pictures with you guys.

CECI IS TRUSTING THE WATER AND A FEW DAYS AGO WENT UNDER THE WATER AND HAD HER FACE TOTALLY SUBMERGED IN THE POOL 😁😊😌🙂😁

She’s finally trusting that she can get out of the pool float and that the water makes her weightless. And seeing her voluntarily get her face wet, I almost cried with happiness.

Way to go Cecilia Marie!!!!!!!

She can’t wait to get back in the pool again to practice some more.

I’m staying right by her side every second she’s in the pool but I’m so glad she’s finding more ways to be independent.
