Ceci and I are here in Peoria, preparing for ceci’s big surgery tomorrow morning.
Ceci’s amazing auntie helped us get a hotel room for the night, since the Family House was completely full and if we came in tomorrow we’d have to be on the road by 3:30am.
We’re currently laying in bed watching the news, of all things and sis is getting sleepy.
To say that I’m anxious and nervous, would be a huge understatement. I feel like my mind is racing a hundred miles an hour and I keep questioning if I’m ready for this.
Handing my sweet girl off to a medical team once again for the 56th time and it doesn’t get any easier!!!
Please say a prayer this evening before you lay down for Ceci. We need prayers and good thoughts being raised up for our girl.
She’s heading in for the biggest surgery she’s ever had in the morning. We’ll be checking in at 5:00am and her surgery will begin around 7:15am.
I’ll be updating about surgery and her condition throughout the day, so don’t forget to follow our page by adding your email above or following her Twitter.
Please feel free to share at the bottom of each post that I make, on all other social media outlets aasking for positivity for tomorrow.
Be back in the morning.
Thank you dear friends
Lots of love and hugs,
Alexis (mom), Cecilia Marie and our special family

Hi there, praying that Ceci’s surgery goes well and she can get some relief soon! I also have Spina Bifida and have had 20+ surgeries so I totally understand how nerve-racking big surgeries can be because I have had a few myself! What I have found helpful to help make you less anxious is to trust your medical team, try not to think about the surgery too much(until you have to), and most importantly do something else that can take your mind off of it for a while. I hope these tips helped!
