Just received another call from the operating room nurse.
Ceci is continuing to do well.
She did need a blood transfusion from me or dad’s directed blood donations-but she’s holding strong.
Sounds like she’ll be in surgery for another hour and a half and then will go to pediatric recovery to wake up.
They will be placing an epidural before she wakes to help with the pain.
She said if they are still working on her after 2pm, they will call with another update.
She’s been in surgery for a little over 5 hours now.
These have been the longest hours of my life. I’m so grateful that she’s doing well.
Thank you all very much for the continued support and prayers. ❤
I’ll update again as I know more.
Sending you gentle hugs to help pass the waiting time. Ceci is so courageous (just like her Mama) and she’ll come through this with flying colors!

I’ve been reading your post and I’ve been in your shoes many many times also. Rachel had a rod put in her back a few years ago. The surgery is long but her surgery for ACE and Monti were longer. Rachel has had many surgeries also. Praying
Sandie
